  • Visit Microsoft’s Software Download page here
  • Under ‘Create Windows 10 installation media’, you will see a ‘Download tool’ button

Click the button to download Windows 10 installer. Run it with administrator privileges and accept the license terms to begin. 

Next, you will get a screen like this

Choose ‘Upgrade this PC now’ radio button and click on Next. It may take a few minutes to finish downloading and installing Windows 10 on your computer.

Windows will ask whether you want to keep the personal files or not after the upgrade. Select ‘Keep personal files and apps’ or ‘Keep personal files only’ or nothing under the ‘Change what to keep’ dialog. 

Save your work and close running apps if any. The system may restart several times during the installation. Once it finished, you will see a welcome screen and setup wizard to configure your Windows 10 settings. 

You are not required to enter any product key to start using Windows 10. The license will be activated automatically after the upgrade.
