Do you want to enable two-factor authentication on Pinterest to protect it from unauthorized logins? Two-step verification ensures that no one else can access the account without your permission.
After giving your normal user id and password, a code will be sent to your phone to confirm the identity. This security feature adds an extra layer of security to your account and protects it from being hacked.
Pinterest also allows you to enable two-factor authentication in simple steps.
Turn on/off Two Factor Authentication on Pinterest
Log in to your Pinterest account first.
Mouse over the profile picture icon on the top right corner of the screen. A menu will slide down and choose Settings from it.
Click Security from the left pane.
Toggle the button to the right side to activate the code verification. A small box will open where you have to enter the password followed by the mobile number.
Wait for a few moments to get the verification code and once it arrived, enter the same in the relevant box. Now Pinterest shows a backup code that you can save and use it in emergency situations to access the account without having the phone.
You are able to generate backup codes anytime by visiting the same Security settings. Click Show Sessions to monitor your login activities. If any suspicious entries found, hit the End Activity button next to it. Similarly, you can revoke unwanted app access via visiting Apps settings or scroll down to the bottom.
