Annoying notifications. You will get continuous mobile notifications whenever a member post on the group. It will disturb you at every moment depends on the group’s activity level. Is there any way to disable WhatsApp group notifications?
Disable WhatsApp group notifications
Follow these steps to disable notifications from annoying WhatsApp groups,
1. Open WhatsApp on your Android or iPhone and click on the group link to disable notifications from it.
2. Tap the three dots icon from the top right corner of the screen. Choose ‘Mute notifications’ from the menu.
How long you want to stop receiving notifications from the group?
A pop-up box will open with options to set your periods such as 8 hours, 1 week, and 1 year. After the chosen period, you will receive notifications from the group as usual.
Now you have successfully turned off group alerts and a mute icon will appear next to the group name on your WhatsApp home screen. But still, muted group posts will land in your account and consume space in the phone’s internal storage.
